No More Cleaning....

I was really excited about getting the upstairs finished - until I realized that I would have to clean that too!!! I need Maggie to be big enough to push a vaccuum...

We are moving right along - tape and texture could start by the end of this week. Anyone itching to do some painting next month?

I took only a few pictures - and it is hard to get a good idea of where everything is, so just come visit and I can give u the tour...or like I said - painting volunteers won't be turned away.

This would be the master bedroom walk in closet!

Looking North from the dinning room stairs toward the livingroom stairs. This will be the family room - surround sound ready!

This is the exact opposite of the previous - looking south toward the dinning room stairs. The double doors are into the master suite - and the area to the right needing sheetrock yet is the family room bathroom.

This is looking at the West wall of my in home studio room!

This is the same studio room looking to the East. Nice and big - to fit families and kids.

This is the West room upstairs - could be a bedroom, but I really want it to be my sewing/craft room.

As I said - anyone itching to paint in late March - let me know!

Pin Cushion

Maggie was a little pin cushion this morning....and by the video shot this afternoon - you never would have know! She had to have 4 shots, one oral treatment and then had to have blood drawn for an allergy test. The blood thing was the worse - I think for her - but for Mommy for sure! I cry when they make her cry! We made it through this time and find out the results of the allergy test by the end of the week.

Maggie is now 26.75 inches long, 15 pounds and her head is 43.4cm. She is long and lean and right on track! Enjoy our bouncy little baby girl:

Scrapbook

I continue to put together Maggie's scrapbook and so far - I think I am caught up through today. We had a beautiful frost here yesterday morning -

See more pictures from the scrapbook:

Maggie has her six month shots tomorrow - so we are just going to be lazy bums and enjoy our day feeling good today!

Brushing Babe

Grandma Shell actually discovered that Maggie likes to have her teeth (or almost teeth) brushed. So tonight we unwrapped the toothbrush that Godmamma Dee gave Maggie and let her go to town. She brushed for nearly a half hour! So glad she likes it - lets hope that keeps up!!!

Maggie also dove into Da Bears sippy cup that Grandma Shell got her! Need to start practicing so she and Uncle Adam can use them to toast at his wedding in July!

Miss Messy

Maggie is into trying all kinds of new foods. So far she has taken to pickles, beef jerky, twizzlers, apples, bananas and today she ventured into graham crackers!

I turned my back for 5 minutes to get lunch in the oven and found that you just destroyed that graham cracker....enough so that a bath was in order. I also found that I need to clean my floors as just before this - Maggie was in her walker and as you can see - her feet are black!

Kisses

Miss Maggie wants to pass along some love and kisses!

We have begun preparing for this HUGE snow storm that is suposedly headed our way....be safe in all your travels!

6 Months Old

Our little lady had her half birthday yesterday! Jon, Maggie and I celebrated by going to church, then lunch in Yankton with a stop at TSC and then we picked up and moved home our Washer and Dryer! After living at home for nearly 2 years - we could soon have our own laundry room!

I just finished the pages from Grandma Tycz's 80th birthday party last weekend - so enjoy a little bit of the Tycz family - Maggie has a BLAST and I am pretty sure Grandma did too! Maggie really likes spending time with Great Grandma Tycz and Grandpa Glenn - in fact she is with them today - while this Mommy works and does some cleaning around the house! I love that she gets to spend this time with her family! Even if she doesn't remember it - I know she will cherish it later - I sure do knowing I got that time with my family as well!

A Very Loving Valentine's Day

We celebrated Maggie's first Valentine's Day with very little pomp or circumstance.... we stayed home and all made supper together! I even got to pick and we had breakfast for supper - biscuits and gravy. Daddy made the biscuits, Mommy made the gravy and Maggie supervised - sneaking a pickle when Mommy wasn't looking!

Hope you had an exceptional day filled with love! xoxo ~ maggie

Resurrecting the Blog

It has been some time since I posted last! I am resurecting the blog because Maggie is just to beautiful not to share - AND Jon thinks I spend too much time on Facebook (which not everyone has). So here I am - back at the Blog which used to be all about me - though everything as of 6 months ago seems to be about Miss Maggie! Yes, she is 6 months old already this weekend. We love watching her grow!

So to catch you up since my last post on May 10, 2011:
- We have moved into the house as of June 1st 2011.
-  Our daughter was born August 17th 2012 - Maggie Sue.
-  We are still working on the house - we only finished the main floor when we moved in, so now we are adding the laundry room into the garage and sheetrock is being put upstairs this week! I would be excited about the Master Bedroom with the whirlpool - but the LAUNDRY ROOM is by far the highlight of the work. No more unloading laundry on our mothers - or Grandma Wagner for that matter.

There you go - all caught up! Now for the good stuff... I promised Jon this video would NOT go on facebook - cause he was making funny noises to get Maggie to laugh - but he knows not of the blog... so technically doing nothing wrong here:

We take more pictures than anyone will ever need...but I cherish them all - even if I cannot get them all printed up!

And finally - the house still needs siding and if we get a good crop this year - we plan on getting that done! But as I said the upstairs is moving right along!

I will try to keep this more up to date from now on! Check back often. So glad you could stop by!
