Easter Weekend Eve

The weather is finally getting nice... and we have been busy spending time outside before it goes from 50 to 100 degrees! Mostly we go with Daddy to do chores. We watch him feed the cows, we ride in the tractor to load the wagon and while we wait we chase the cats around. If only there was more time to take pictures of all our fun!

Maggie did get her first popsicle this week... shared with Daddy! She liked and was just as messy as Daddy! She is really starting to like eating with us - though she never did take to the baby food. If it is on our plate - she is all for it!

We have a full weekend of festivities ahead of us including church today (and hopefully a stroll as it is supposed to be sooooo nice) then we hope to dye eggs this evening. Tomorrow is the Easter Egg hunt in Tyndall. And then we are going to Church on Sunday with Grandpa Glenn, Breakfast after with Grandma Tycz, Off to Grandma Shell's for dinner (maybe a nap if we can squeeze it in) and then to G&G Sedlacek's for supper. Mommy is ready to crash just thinking about it! Hope all of your weekends are just as full of family fun!

Our Eventful Sunday

We had quite the eventful Sunday morning. First, it was nearly 8am and I thought it was a little to quiet. I went in to Maggie's room to find her playing with her bink, singing quietly to herself! She was all smiles when I walked in...what a great way to start the day! She sleeps in a car seat (all the straps removed) placed in her crib as that is the only way we all make it sanely through each night!

After breakfast with Daddy & Grandpa George we decided to venture to Grandpa Glenn's shop to change the oil in Mommy's car. Maggie got suited up in her safety gear and was ready to help Gpa!

After all the hard work - Gpa Glenn gave Maggie her Easter present - A DRUM! First thing was to give Maggie lessons. She liked the sticks more than the drum.

We visited Grandma Tycz for a bit after that and then back to the farm where we got roped into chores with Daddy. The tractor puts Maggie to sleep just like it does Mommy.

After coming back home Maggie discovered she liked seeing the own on her head in her little mirror - so she wore her hat most of the evening.

We did get in a little more drum practice before finally calling it a day at 9pm!

We love eventful days like this - even with such normal everyday events!

Farming

We are well into this years calving season and we knew it would not take long before a baby ended up in the garage. Jon brought one in to get warm and Maggie just loved it! She really is going to be quite the little farmer!

Maggie also got moved into her big girl car seat - hope to use it more as the weather gets warm...though it has the same effect as the baby one - puts her right to sleep!

Fun Days

We have had some rather fun days this week! We all went to Church on Saturday night - and then out to eat! Doesn't Maggie look too cute in her church dress?

Just the other night - Mommy had a craving for asparagus...and even though it is store bought and not from Grandpa Glenn - Maggie still enjoyed it - Mommy did too!

The weather was so nice today we spent a few hours outside! First we saw all the birds at Grandma Tycz's house and then we talked with the cows at home, walked in our tennis shoes on the gravel and Daddy took Maggie on her first 4-wheeler ride! She still fits in the mail box...how much she has grown in 7 short months!

Sitting on Daddy's tractor in front of the house - hate to think Jon could have her driving one of these before long.

Riding with Daddy - better go check the baby calves!

Tomorrow is supposed to be just as nice - maybe we will go walk the bridge in Yankton after Mommy gets off work!

New Food

We are constantly trying new foods... today was mandarine oranges.... MESSY! But Maggie sure liked them!

And then after bath - she had quite the fuzzy hair going on. Really, after eating foods like this - the only way to get clean is to go right to the bath!

Progress

We ventured upstairs with my point and shoot camera to take some progress pictures - and it turned into a little shoot in the new studio! Can't wait for it to be finished and start taking pictures up there!

This would be looking into the new studio from the hallway.

The master bathroom - everything not sheetrocked has to be tiled...quite the project I am getting myself into!

Family Room - with surround sound!

To the right is the bathroom, the Master Suite is through the hole at the end of the room and the hole in the floor will be surrounded by banister to go down into the dinning room.

Taping and texture start today! Sheetrocking took a bit longer than we thought - but before you know it - we will have quite the fancy addition to our house! Painting and staining anyone?

A Day in Our Lives

We had a rather busy body day yesterday. After starting the day at 5:30 with Grandma Shell - Maggie had a very happy morning. She went with me for a quick Wal-Mart run before we headed home to roast a chicken for dinner. Miss Maggie was a great help in the kitchen - and with every fancy toy at her disposal - she was most happy with a wooden spoon...

And as she scoots around the kitchen in her walker - she watched Mommy open up a few cabinets putting dishes away and the smart little thing wheeled right up to which cabinet??? The tupperware cabinet - how do they know which one that is - and tried to open it only to have her walker get in the way.

Daddy then fed her some black berry pie which she seemed to really like...

...leading to the need for a midday bath! Off to nap after a full belly and clean face!

After nap we did some studying... what we really need to do next is cleaning...

...but that could wait as it was time to east again. Mommy got out the apple sauce, which Maggie wanted nothing to do with...then cut a slice of apple and she couldn't get enough of it! Miss independent thinks she needs to feed herself - even if it is a tart Granny Smith!

After a full day - we had a decent night of sleep - even if we have to strap her into her car seat for her to sleep in 4 hour stretches!
